Robin Mountjoy is king of the rowdy, foot-stomping, swamp-thang kind of music that will make your soul dance and your hands clap. True to his South Kansas roots, Robins sound is unique, dirty, and unabashedly authentic: a cross between blues and no apologies rock-and-roll. He pursues music with an uncommon passion which is clear in the intensity of his performance and his unbridled hard knock lyrics. Robin comes to Hollywood by way of New York City where he fronted the band Hard Core Mojo, performed a successful residency at CBGBs and The Underground Lounge and in his spare time directed over 26 Off-Broadway productions, not to mention 2 feature films and a pilot, all of which he also wrote. Always an innovator, Robin has taken his Midwestern blue collar roots, mixed it with some Yankee badassery and is putting the shine on with some Hollywood soul- shakin. See you at the next show.
