Ottawa, Canada native Ericka Hunter has been studying and performing since the age of three. Hunter's parents taught her to embrace her Canadian and Chinese roots while growing up as the middle child, with music becoming an integral part of her development.Upon graduating high school, Hunter moved to New York City where she performed as one of the world famous Radio City Rockettes. Pushing her career in theatre forward, Hunter then joined Broadway classics such as: The Lion King, Flower Drum Song, 42nd Street, and most recently, Rock of Ages, where she has performed the leading role of Sherrie in over 50 performances. Her Broadway experience has led Hunter to perform alongside such artists as Rihanna, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, and Bret Michaels with Poison. When not engaging audiences on Broadway, Hunter writes and records music alongside Jean Baptiste (“Boom Boom Pow” – Black Eyed Peas) and Kuk Harrell (Beyonce's “Single Ladies” / Rihanna's “Umbrella“). Currently, Hunter is working on recording her debut album, which is expected to be released next spring, with the help of her friends The Movement (“One Time” – Justin Bieber) and famed disc jockeys, Morgan Nagoya and DJ Oriska.
