NASA -- Past & Future - Aug 06,2013

Imagine a world without NASA, when going to the moon was just a dream. We'd be sitting in the duldrums of the 1950's with little more than some old Rock ‘n Roll tunes and the memory of a terrible war. It depicted a time devoid of the rich content of our modern day steeped with communication. NASA paved the way for that rich content, curtesy of satilite technology and the many products that resulted from NASA research. The Apollo 11 Mission to the Moon, July 20, 1969 changed the way we think of space with the famous Neil Armstrong quote: “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” It was a pivotal event because it changed the course of science and science fiction movie plots from those dull alien worlds and alien characters to truly alien worlds and characters rich with depth. And it paved the way for satilite technology.Join Melissa and me Monday, August 5, 2013 at 8 pm. ET for a discussion of NASA -- Past and Future.
