The Institution stops by to talk about their musical career is a three piece alternative rock band based out of San Francisco, California. Their music is defined by heart felt lyrics, melodic rhythms, unusual time signatures, soulful guitar leads, and thundering drums. The band was formed in 2005 by vocal/guitarist Jay Scott and Drummer Pete Milan and later joined by Gerard “G" Astrero on bass after some trial bass players. The Institution has been playing agressively around the bay area of California and is currently booking shows throughout the west coast. The band has over 50 copyrighted songs to date and is currently looking for a label. In the meantime, the band is working on recording their first studio album with an engineer independently.
