900 Seconds warmly welcomes Jane Boxall! Award-winning percussionist Jane Boxall is "in a genre of one," according to Vermont's 7Days. Born in the UK, Jane completed two degrees in music at the University of York before relocating to the United States in 2004. She studied with William Moersch at the University of Illinois, earning a doctorate (2008) in percussion performance. Jane has performed in concert halls, art galleries, universities and festivals from London to Chicago, and Manhattan to Seattle. She has appeared with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, Prairie Ensemble and the Vermont Contemporary Music Ensemble. Jane is one half of Ricochet piano-marimba duo, one half of Snap-Drag drum duo, one third of Drumshtick -- the Vermont Symphony Orchestra percussion trio -- and an in-demand freelance drummer and percussionist. In 2012, Jane premiered Garry Jones's Concerto for Park Bench and Orchestra with the Event In A Tent Festival Orchestra – “I've never heard a park bench played so passionately,” stated the composer. In 2013-2014, Jane is touring throughout the United States, and internationally, as a concert artist and clinician.
