Now, long time friends and former Brandos drummer and songwriter, Larry Mason and Carl Funk, have formed their own band, The Halyards, and written and recorded an album with another longtime friend, Grammy-winner Eric Tingstad. The album, Fortune Smiles, is a bit of everything: roots rock, Spanish guitar, funk, and americana. It defies labels, as do the seasoned musicians whose lifes lessons and experiences have formed it.
