Everyone loves pie. You have your apple and blueberry and ever popular cherry. But there's another Pie in town and it's getting very popular with the musical crowd -- Strumberry Pie. Have you tried it yet? Strumberry Pie is an acoustic duo of Jersey Shore locals Dee Dee Montanaro and Laura Catalina Johnson, who perform covers and originals. Think Sheryl Crowe meets Heart meets Pat Benatar and the Scorpions. The ladies of Strumberry Pie feature amazing harmonies and unexpected songs not typically performed acoustic or even by women. From pop to classic and hard rock, to indie folk and soul, Dee Dee and Laura bring variety, strong vocals, the occasional flute, and a whole lot of flare to the stage with every performance. Strumberry Pie originated in the Fall of 2011, when Dee Dee and Laura met at Rock n Roll Karaoke at the Downtown in Red Bank, NJ. They were two chicks who really rocked and decided to rock together, and in 2012 the two formed a band. Strumberry Pie has performed at local venues such as: The Strand Theater, Molly Maguires, The Downtown Cafe, Taste, The Saint, The Wonder Bar, and the Colts Neck Rockfest.
