The Ambassador of Southern Rock Michael Buffalo Smith - Sep 27,2012

Michael has been for music publications over 25 years freelancing for magazines like Rolling Stone, Mojo, Twisted South, Goldmine, Relix, Hittin the Note, and others. He founded Gritz magazine of southern music and culture in 1998. Gritz became a part of Swampland in 2007, and Buffalo left in 2010. He started the website Universal Music Tribe in 2011, and launched the digital magazine Kudzoo in September, 2012. Prisoner of Southern Rock is Buffalos memoir, written over the past ten years and published by Mercer University Press this month. The book features a foreword from Oscar winning actor Billy Bob Thornton, and a large section of photos. Michael is also a recording artist /songwriter.
